Active members are required to attend a certain amount of events every semester! This ensures SWPA thrives as an organization and that women get the most out of their membership.

Going above and beyond as a member?

SWPA wants to encourage members to attend as many events as they can! All New and Active Members who earn 5+ points above the requirement will receive a gift card for their hard work at the end of the semester!

Mentor group information to come! 

Mentor Groups were created to help facilitate our sisterhood, but to also give members a group of girls in similar career paths! Make sure you are in touch with your group and are willing to meet with New Members for coffee chats!

Missing Chapter Absence Form

If you have a valid excuse and conflict for missing our Chapter meeting please fill out this form! If you miss Chapter and do not fill out this form it will count as your one freebie (unexcused) absence. 


Membership FAQ's

Do members pay dues?

Yes, members pay dues every semester. Active members pay $30 a semester. New Members pay $60 for their first semester.

What happens if I don't achieve all my points?

At the end of the semester if members don't achieve their points they have the option to pay a $10 fee or carry over the remaining points to the following semester.

How are points tracked?

Points are tracked by a Google Sheet organized by the semester you joined. The Executive Board inputs all points within a week of the event.

What if I am studying abroad?

SWPA allows members to go inactive for a semester to study abroad! Additionally, if members are experiencing a challenging situation or have extenuating circumstances to deal with, SWPA permits those members to opt for an inactive status for the semester. 

Where can I access the point sheet and other important information?

You can access the semester's point sheet, the all member contact sheet, Chapter slides, coffee chat counter and submission, SWPA point/attendance bylaws, and any other forms in the SWPA Google Drive Information folder. 

Do I need to attend SWPA Chapter?

Yes, SWPA has Chapter meetings every other Thursday. Members are expected to go to these even though they are not worth any points. Members are permitted 1 freebie absence no questions asked. If members miss more than 1 Chapter without filling out the absence form with a valid reason, a $5 fine will be imposed at the end of the semester.
